Never thought I wouldn't have you around
Attached at the hip since we were old enough to think we had it all figured out
Life was hard, too hard for you
Wish I could have helped but your head was in a place that I couldn't quite get to
I still think of days gone by I ask "what's it all mean?"
I still have your old guitar and some memories
I'd rather have Joey
I'll never forget you my platinum blonde friend
So many nights that we'd spend trying to figure out just where we fit in
We drifted apart for quite some time
But I always thought that we would find each other again later in this life
I still think of days gone by I ask "what's it all mean?"
I still have your old guitar and some memories
I'd rather have Joey
Four more glorious, ragged rock & roll songs from Home Blitz with big, sunny melody lines and joyous, bounding riffs. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 4, 2020
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
